9 Ways to Use Less Plastic

Plastic is always used in our daily life. Why? Because the product is low in cost and majority of us made a choice for the manufacture of toys, bottled beverages, tools, furnitures, food storage and many more. We know that this plastic is the number one contributors to our global warming because they uses fossil fuels to produced and when becomes waste it's not biodegradable. In fact, plastic garbage thrown into the ocean kill as many as 1,000,000 sea creatures a year! Ever heard of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch? It's twice the size of Texas and is floating somewhere between San Francisco and Hawaii. It's also 80 percent plastic, and weighs in at 3.5 million tons.The study also shows that some plastic poses hazard chemicals that is unhealthy when used in food and beverage products. So start a green living by lessen the use of plastic in every aspect of our life.

Drink out of glasses


Use a stainless water bottle and stop buying bottled water

Keep a real ( metal or wooden ) spoon and fork in a baggy in your car, and at your desk

Purchase wooden toys


Use only real or biodegradable plates


Save glass jars and use them instead of tupperware


Bring cloth bags to the grocery store, say no to store clerks when they want to put your items in a plastic bag


Compost so you use fewer garbage bags


Buy grocery items packaged in glass instead of plastic when possible
